Department of Life Sciences& Zoology
This Department was introduced in the year 1993 at the FYBsc. level. Thefirst batch of students appeared for their TYBsc. examinations in 1997. The curriculumincludes a variety of topics including Genetics, Immunology, Developmental Biology,Neurobiology, Biotechnology (Fermentation Technology & Genetic Engineering) andEnvironmental Biology (Life & environment : Global Issues and Resources). The studentshave to do a project on Environment including pollution, sampling, etc. Field trips arearranged to various research institutes, air monitoring centres, etc.
