Department of Mathematics
This Department is one of the bigger and more important departments of thecollege. It has the unique distinction a large number of Science as well as Commercestudents both in Degree as well as Junior College.
Expansion of the Department
A major expansion of the department took place in 1996-97. It was there-introduction of TYBsc. Mathematics. Since then the results of TYBsc Mathematics havebeen excellent for two consecutive years. The strength of the department has increased to9 full-time and 2 part-time teachers.

Mathematics Association
In the year 1997-98, the Mathematics Association Jai Hind College was started with Dr.(Mrs.) S.V. Singh as the chairperson. The aim is to organise regular lectures and seminarson Mathematics and its applications. The purpose is to give students a broad culture anddevelop an interest in Mathematics.
