Department of Hindi
One of the oldest departments, it has been around since the inception ofthe college itself in 1948. The first head of this Department was Dr. B. Dixit, adistinguished lecturer who made a mark for himself and thereby the Department as a whole.Hindi is offered as an optional language from the FYJC level through the FYBA level.

Activities
Prof. (Ms.) R.R. Ahuja and Prof. (Mrs.) S.Y. Sikka have undergone an intense trainingin the field of teaching. Their dissertation was on the subject of "ActionResearch" and the paper will be submitted on the 4th Dec. 1998.
Hindi Parishad
The activities of the Hindi Parishad includes:
Variety entertainment programs
Literary programs including Essay Competitions, Poetry recitation, etc.
Every year Hindi Divas is celebrated on the 14th of September, andcelebrations go on for a week.
